In this article you will find the Top 7 Quality of Life Addons for WoW Classic that will improve your experience in the Vanilla version of World of Warcraft. They have been selected carefully and are all considered small addons that don’t change the game significantly, but do bring you a lot more comfort. In random order you will find the Top 7 addons, the link to the appropriate addon website is added for each addon. This list is of course not perfect list of addons, your opinion might be different.
Vendor Price is a very simple addon, that will help you a lot in WoW Classic. It offers a function that was added in a later expansion in WoW, it adds the Vendor Price of an item to its tooltip. In Battle for Azeroth you might have gotten used to this, but in WoW Classic this does not exist.
ClassicCastbars is another easy addon that adds the castbars of your target below its portrait. Nothing fancy and not 100% accurate, but it’s certainly better than nothing when you are used to having these castbars visible.
This addon or another version of it is used by almost everybody in some way in Battle for Azeroth. It simply adds your current coordinates to the Minimap, and it adds your current coordinates and the coordinates of your cursor to the World Map. Very handy, especially if you want to communicate about a specific location for a quest or a grind spot.
Speedy Autoloot will help you loot faster. I still have to get used to the fact that I don’t see the items anymore when I loot them, but in the end I think this will be better than the time you normally waste waiting for the normal autoloot to work.
Another fine addon that will add the dungeon location of all instances to your World Map. Especially with the lack of a dungeon finder, this will come in extra handy! Make sure to install HandyNotes and the DungeonLocations (Classic) addons to make this work.
The last two on the list are a bit more controversial, because they impact the gameplay a bit more than some of the purists would want. Auctionator is a Auction House addon that is used a lot by the players in WoW retail. It is also available in WoW Classic. It will help you to post different sizes of stacks and multiple posts at the same time. Check it out if you like it.
Modern QuestWatch or MonkeyQuest
As mentioned earlier, the last one is also a bit controversial. These two addons change the way your quest tracker works. For some people this is a reason not to use the addon. I personally thinks it adds a lot of value.
If you only want some modest changes to the original quest tracker. Then Modern Questwatch is the way to go. When you click a quest on the tracker with this addon on, it will open up the quest for you. Shift-clicking a quest will untrack it for you. Both of these functions are not available in WoW Classic.
If you want a changed quest tracker with more option, then I would recommend MonkeyQuest. MonkeyQuest changed your entire tracker and you can choose from a lot of options and colors to customize it the way you want it. I’m personally very charmed with how it works and the customizability.
We excluded the addon Questie on purpose. For the purpose of this article we think the addon adds a bit too much to the current game. Questie basically tells you where you have to go for all quests, like it does in retail, with a lot of extra options. In the future we might release a dedicated article to this addon.
We hope this article will help you pick some addons for WoW Classic. This list can of course not be perfect and you might not agree with some of our picks, which is totally fine! Good luck!
